Blood Collection Tubes

Vacuum blood collection tubes for single use with colour coded caps. The tube is made of PET and cap made of HDPE and rubber stopper. Most tubes contain additives in varying concentrations dependent upon the amount of vacuum and the required additive to blood ratio for the tube. They include whole blood tube, plasma tube and serum blood collection tubes.

edta tubes

EDTA tubes are widely used in clinical haematology as
well as various kinds of blood cell test instruments. Both
K2 EDTA and K3 EDTA salts are used as anticoagulants
that inhibit the blood specimen by binding to the
calcium to protect the blood platelets for effective
analysis. Both EDTA salts preserves test samples for up to
24 hours.

GLUCOSE TUBES

These are used in blood collection & anticoagulation for
blood sugar, sugar tolerance,anti-alkali haemoglobin
and sugar water tests. These tubes consist of two main
agents Sodium Fluoride and Potassium Oxalate. Sodium
Fluoride acts as an antiglycolytic agent to ensure no
further glucose breakdown while Potassium Oxalate
acts as the anticoagulant.

CLOT ACTIVATOR WITH GEl

Gel & Clot activator tubes are used for numerous tests
including Biochemistry, endocrinology, oncology, toxicology, microbiology and immunology. Inside the tube we find
two agents silica particles and a serum separating gel.
Silica particles cause the blood cells to clot together while
the serum separating gel floats as a layer between the
blood cells and plasma forming a physical barrier. After
centrifugation the barrier can effectively separate, while
preventing substance exchange between blood cell and
serum. This keeps the biochemical character & chemical
component of serum unchanged for an extended period.
